BW Gas: New Fleet Management EVP (Norway)


BW Gas yesterday announced the appointment of Yngvil Eriksson Åsheim to the role of Executive Vice President, Fleet Management and Country Head for Norway.

Åsheim, who holds a masters in marine engineering from Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTNU), started her career at DNV as a surveyor in 1993. In 2002, she joined Höegh Fleet Services where she started as a fleet manager overseeing the technical operation, and went on to the position of President responsible for all ship management matters.

Subsequently, she was appointed as EVP of Höegh Autoliners responsible for global operation and ship management. Åsheim has held several board positions and currently she is a board member of Maritime Communication Partner AS, a maritime telcom operator.

BW Gas is a leading global provider of gas marine transportation services. The company is the largest owner and operator of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) carriers and one of the largest independent owners and operators of LNG (liquefied natural gas) carriers.
