BW Offshore gets Berge Helene FPSO extension

BW Offshore has received a two year contract extension for the lease and operation of the FPSO Berge Helene.

The contract extension is coming from PETRONAS Carigali Mauritania 1 Pty. Ltd, BW Offshore informed. The FPSO Berge Helene was previously contracted by Petronas in 2006 to work on Chinguetti field offshore Mauritania in 800 m water depth.

The firm period has been extended to Q2 2017 (from Q2 2015).

The FPSO Berge Helene has an oil production capacity of 75,000 bbl/d, water injection capacity of 100,000 bbl/d, gas compression capacity of 54 mmscfd and storage capacity of 2,000,000 bbl storage.

BW Offshore is a global provider of floating production services to the oil and gas industry and according to the Company it is the world’s second largest contractor with a fleet of 14 FPSOs and 1 FSO represented in all major oil regions worldwide. The company also operates additional 2 FPSOs.
