Caspian Marine Services buys two offshore vessels

Nordcapital Investment Gmbh, a shipping, real estate, private equity and energy investment group, has sold two platform supply vessels (PSVs) to the Azeri offshore marine support vessels operator Caspian Marine Services Ltd.

According to information provided by VesselsValue, the vessels were sold for a price of $6 million each.

The two PSVs, the E.R. Aalesund and E.R. Stavanger, were the first two offshore newbuilds operated by ship management company specializing in offshore vessels, E.R. Offshore. The company was founded in 2006 as a part of E.R. Schiffahrt.

Nordcapital Investment, listed as the owner of the vessels, and E.R. Schiffart have both been wholly owned subsidiaries of E.R. Capital since 2008.

Both PSVs are of UT 755 LN design built in Aker Yards shipyard, Norway, in 2008. The two vessels have a length of 73.6 meters and breadth of 16.0 meters. The PSVs are DP2 classified with a deadweight of 3,240 tonnes and can move at a speed of 15.0 knots.
