CH·IV Provides Owner Engineering Services to EcoElectrica for LNG Terminal Expansion

Jeffrey P. Beale, President of CH-IV International congratulated EcoEléctrica for the safe construction, commissioning and recent commencement of service of an expansion to its existing LNG Terminal located in Peñuelas, Puerto Rico.

The Terminal expansion effectively doubles the regasification capacity of the EcoEléctrica facility allowing it to send natural gas to the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) for use in its existing power generating facilities.

CH-IV International provided Owner Engineering services to EcoEléctrica, which included the preparation of Front End Engineering Design (FEED) used to permit the expansion project, regulatory support during the permitting and construction of the project, negotiation of an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract and oversight during the construction, commissioning and commencement of service of the project.

Mr. Beale stated, “CH-IV is very excited, not just because our design is in safe and successful operation but also because of the benefits this important project will bring to the people of Puerto Rico.”
