Chevron extends DOF Subsea’s Gorgon, Wheatstone IMR deal
DOF Subsea Australia has extended its subsea inspection, maintenance and repair contract for Chevron’s Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG projects.
DOF Subsea has been providing IMR vessel, ROV, AUV, project management, engineering services including on and offshore professional personnel to execute various work scopes supporting construction and IMR activities on the two projects since February 2015.
The contract extension will allow DOF Subsea to continue offering training, employment and supply chain opportunities in regional communities and businesses in the future.
Chevron, the US-based energy company and the operator of the giant Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG projects in Australia. Both facilities are producing and exporting liquefied natural gas and are progressing towards full capacity of 15.6 mtpa and 8.9 mtpa from Gorgon and Wheatstone, respectively.
