Chevron, Hess and API RP 17N Committee Join Major Subsea Integrity Talks

With the Subsea Industry set to double its annual size from $30bn to $60bn in the next 5 years, the industry requires a robust & systematic subsea integrity management strategy. Developments within the subsea arena are moving rapidly: the SURF market will double to $30-$40bn, annually in the next 5 years, whilst Inspection & Maintenance is projected to double to $10bn.

The benefits of a fully informed Subsea Integrity Management strategy are clear. By identifying, documenting and analysing prioritized subsea asset data across the lifecycle, it minimizes early life failures and costly intervention, whilst eradicating the possibility for loss of containment. This in turn allows operators to maximize production performance and reach such goals in the most timely and cost effective way.

As the subsea industry takes giant leaps forward into High Pressure High Temperature environments, deeper waters, and subsea processing, the ability to effectively demonstrate and manage integrity becomes an ever more challenging and valuable prospect.

To capitalize on this evolving subsea landscape, key industry stakeholders will be gathering for the Subsea Integrity Management Summit on 9-10 September in Houston. With confirmed speakers from Chevron, Hess, Subsea 7, Baker Hughes, FMC Technologies, WGIM, Atkins, this forum will provide the industry with the best tools and strategies to minimize subsea threats and deliver maximum subsea integrity.

The key highlights of the conference are to include:

1. Chevron share exclusive insight on their deepwater subsea integrity management (IM) strategy for Blind Faith & Tahiti fields

2. FMC Technologies, Subsea 7, WGIM & Atkins discuss cutting-edge subsea inspection & monitoring approaches for complete risk mitigation

3. DNV, Genesis & 2H Offshore assess the latest methods for controlling the multitude of subsea data

4. Hess Corporation-led API task force discuss updates to subsea IM practices alongside the key operators, contractors & industry experts involved

The Subsea Integrity Management Summit will bring together 150+ subsea integrity decision-makers for two days of business critical intelligence, networking and focussed discussion. Chevron, Hess, Shell, BP, BHP Billiton, Baker Hughes, FMC Technologies, OneSubsea, WGIM, Aker Solutions, DNV, Atkins, Subsea 7, Oceaneering, Intecsea are among the companies attending. The summit will be held at the Sheraton Brookhollow Hotel, Houston, TX, on 9-10 September 2013.
