Chile: ENAP Names Ricardo Cruzat as CEO

The commercial engineer, Ricardo Cruzat Ochagavía, with an extensive professional career in both the private and public sectors, assumed August 1, the position of chief executive officer of ENAP, in replacement of the civil industrial engineer, Rodrigo Azócar Hidalgo.

The executive is a commercial engineer with mention in economics from the Universidad de Chile, and attended the Senior Corporate Management Program (PADE), of the Universidad de los Andes.

He has been the chief executive of important Chilean companies and, at the time of his appointment as chief executive of ENAP, Ricardo Cruzat was the chief executive of Transnet, an electricity-transmission subsidiary of the CGE group, which provides electricity transmission and transformation services through a number of substations and high-tension transmission lines in the regions of Atacama and Los Ríos.

He was previously the chief executive of Emel S.A., a group of private public-utility companies having six electricity-distribution subsidiaries, plus others that provide the group with specific services.

In another business area, Ricardo Cruzat held senior positions in the telecommunications company, Entel, as commercial manager for mobile and local telephone services. He was also the chief executive of the investment company Pacífico V Región.
