China: Chengxi Shipyard Holds Naming Ceremony for New Bulk Carrier

The Naming ceremony of CX0408 – ‘SHANG DIAN XIANG AN 8’ has been successfully carried out at Chengxi Shipyard, Jiangyin China on the 20th of October 2o11.This was the last of four 45,000dwt bulk-carriers for the same owner at the shipyard.

Although, this project took place at two different sites (Chengxi and Qidong Hongqiang SYs) and construction went quickly (two months ahead of the contracted delivery date), the hard work of GCL’s site team has successfully earned the owner’s respects and satisfaction.
