China: Chengxi Shipyard (Xinrong) Officially Inaugurated

Chengxi Shipyard (Xinrong) Co., Ltd was officially inaugurated at 09:58 July 18th, 2012. Mr. Wang Yongliang, President, Mr. Ji Jun, Vice President of Chengxi Shipyard, Mr. Liao Yu, the Board Members, Mr. Weng Weizheng, Supervisory Board Chairman, Mr. Xu Shenquan, General Manager, Mr. Gu Youlin, Mr. Chen Canlang & Mr. Tang Jihua, Deputy General Manager and the Management teams from Chengxi Shipyard (Xinrong) participated at the inauguration ceremony.

The company has been renamed and registered as Chengxi Shipyard (Xinrong) Co., Ltd. from the original name Jiangsu Xinrong Shipyard Co., Ltd. on 6th July, 2012, in consideration of aligning CSSC ship repair with “Chengxi Shipyard” as the major brand in a long-term strategic plan and further improving the company brand awareness in world shipping industry as well as developing China Yangtze River Delta Area as the base of super large vessels and offshore repair and conversion.

The company will not be affected by the name change as an independent legal entity with its rights and obligations. The company is located in Middle China, with two floating docks of 170,000 DWT and 100,000 DWT, has an annual capacity of repair over 120 vessels of various types up to 300,000 DWT.
