China: CIC Boluomiao Shipyard Completes Repair Projects for 15 Vessels in December

MV “Asia Adventure” was redelivered to the owners by CIC Boluomiao Shipyard on Dec 20th, 2011, which marked the yard’s harvest season had come. The shipyard completed the repair projects for 15 vessels such as MV “Xin jinzhou”, “Jinquan” and etc. within the first 20 days of December.

In December, the repair schedule of the yard was quite tough and there were over 16 vessels berthed at the yard for the regular repair. Furthermore, the dock schedule has been arranged up to next February.

It was reported that, the quantity of steel plate renewal has been more than 1500 tons in December, the sandblasting & painting work has increased and other repair projects were in full arrangement.

The shipyard improved the production quality & efficiency, insured the working safety, and made preparation for the next year. The yard put emphasis on keeping the dock period as schedule and focused on the projects of key & short-term ships, which created favorable conditions for on-time delivery. This month, the primary project was a great quantity of steel plate renewal, and all departments cooperated together to arrange full labor force to fulfill the work on time.

In early December, since the steel plate renewal for M/V “Lumoso Karunia” was in large quanities, the yard tried best to organize the labor force to insure the repair period & quality. Due to the short docking period of Korean vessel “Bu Yang”, the yard made good preparation in advance and requested all the repair work to be finished in dock, which guaranteed the vessel undocked and redelivered on time.
