China: CIC Boluomiao Shipyard Completes Repair Works on Fishing Vessel Hai Feng
CIC Boluomiao Shipyard completed the repair work of “Hai Feng” fishing vessel successfully at 11:30 am on Sept. 21. The vessel was sent to the shipyard on Sept. 8. The major work was including tailshaft withdrawal and inspection, engine room piping laying, fish tank gate and conventional hull blasting and painting work, etc. There was a nearly 50*200 mm long keel throughout the whole boat which increased the difficulty greatly to her docking.
The engineering department organized a special meeting for the relevant departments and staff in order to analyze the problems that may arise when entering the dock. The Shipyard made such a full and intensive preparation that ensured a smooth vessel docking.
It is said that although there were not much repair works this time, the high technical difficulty and the poor working environment as well as the scattered works were all overcome. The staff in CIC Boluomiao Shipyard is holding the motto that “The shipowner’s requirement is what we always pursuit” for every productions and cherished each opportunity of one ship repair. The strict quality control men checked the quality problems in the bud and all the tests and inspections of the repair projects were qualified at the first time.
