China: CIC Lixin Shipyard Completes Repair Works for Vessel MV Luzon Strait

Recently CIC Lixin Shipyard completed repairs for vessel MV Luzon Strait , the shipyard finished all the works and the vesssel sailed smoothly in a drizzle.

The repair work was commenced on Nov. 18, which includes: all 5 cargo holds sand blasting and painting, large amount of pipes renewal in engine room, etc. There was a large quantity of repair works and the working conditions were very complicated, especially with the jobs such as massive bottom plate renewal when she was in the dock.

As the vessel happened to meet the peak time of the ship repair at the shipyard, the production department assigned SRM and supervisors with good English communication ability to go with the quite tight schedule and strict requirement from the surveyor. Meantime the QC department arranged experienced inspectors to assure good quality. Finally, the vessel departed from the shipyard timely and smoothly through the efforts and tight cooperation of every department.
