China: CNPC, CSSC Ink Strategic Cooperation Agreement

CNPC and China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) yesterday signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing.

CNPC Chairman Zhou Jiping, CNPC President Liao Yongyuan and CSSC Chairman Hu Wenming had a discussion on promoting cooperation between the two companies, and attended the signing ceremony. CNPC Vice President Liu Hongbin and CSSC Vice President Wu Qiang signed the agreement on behalf the two sides. CNPC Vice President Yu Baocai was present on the occasion.

CNPC and CSSC have maintained a good cooperative relationship for a long time, achieving significant results in the R&D, design and construction of shipbuilding and offshore equipment. The signing of the agreement will urge the two sides to step up collaboration on the design and construction of transport vessels and offshore engineering equipment, trade and transport of oil and gas products, financial business and the “Substituting Natural Gas for Oil” endeavors. ​
