China: CNPC, Siemens Sign Cooperation Deal

CNPC said in a statement that it has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Siemens AG .

Under the agreement, the two companies will strengthen cooperation in areas including energy development and utilization, and petroleum equipment manufacturing, so as to promote mutual development, CNPC said.

“CNPC Vice President Yu Baocai and Siemens AG Managing Board Member Barbara Kux had a meeting and attended the signing ceremony.

PetroChina Vice President Bo Qiliang and Siemens ltd., China President and CEO and Cluster CEO North East Asia Cheng Meiwei took part in relevant events,” the company said in a statement.

Siemens AG is one of the world’s leading suppliers of electronics and electrical engineering.
