China: COSCO (Guangdong) Shipyard Gains LR, BV and NK Approval on Promoting PSPC

Recently, NK Classification’s expert of coating spoke highly of the implementation of PSPC in COSCO (Guangdong) Shipyard by evaluating and conferring it the qualification certificate. By now, Shipyard has gained LR, BV and NK approval on promoting PSPC.

According to the specific operation, the PSPC team drafted the PSPC Administrative Regulation of Shipyard and sent numbers of employees to get trainings. Up to now, there have been 20 certified coating inspectors, including NACE training and FROSIO training.

Besides, in order to improve the technological level of teams, shipyard also organized the internal trainings and formulated the identification policy of spray coating, as well as the reward and punishment system.

By various measures, the PSPC is promoted smoothly and its destruction rate is less than 1%, which totally meets the standard 2%.
