HTS Launches Third Bulk Carrier for HI Investment & Securities

The third 57.000 DWT Bulk Carrier SanHuoLun built for HI Investment & Securities (HT57-112) was successfully launched from Hantong Shipyard’s slipway No.1 on 28th June 2012. The construction works on this 57.000 DWT bulk carrier began in August 2011 with the successful steel cutting ceremony.

The vessel, built for HI Investment &Securities and class approved by LR, is a new type of supramax bulk carrier optimised to burn less fuel oil.

Gross tonnage – 32,913 t

Summer DWT – 57,000 t

Length – 190 m

Beam – 32 m

Draught – 13.1 m

After the launching ceremony, three parties gathered at the shipyard’s office to sign all the necessary documents.

Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry Co (HTS) is a newly-built large and medium-sized enterprise. The shipyard gained the accreditation of ISO9001:2002 and OSAH14000/GB25008 the quality management system and is engaged in the construction of large vessels and ocean engineering units approved by ABS、DNV、BV、LR、CCS.
