Tianjin Xingang Shipbuilding Puts Two New Drydocks in Service

Recently, two shipbuilding drydocks one of 500,000 DWT and other of 300,000 DWT were successfully flooded at company’s new shipyard facilities located in Lingang Economic Zone.

Now, new draydoks are only one step away from reaching conditions of use.

Construction works on two drydocks started in June, 2009. The first 500,000 DWT drydock is 520 m in length, 110 m in width and 13.3 m in depth. The second 300,000 DWT drydock is 440 m in length, 80 m in width and 13.3 m in depth.

Now after the dock-gates work has been completed and after the installed gates were checked thoroughly the repair works for first of 57.000 DWT and second of 100.000 DWT series vessel can begin.
