ClerkMaxwell Secures Four North Sea Contracts (UK)

ClerkMaxwell has secured framework agreements with four major North Sea operators with the potential value of up to £15m over the next three years.

Since Costain completed the acquisition of the Aberdeen-based upstream oil and gas consultancy in April of last year, the company has gone from strength to strength, doubling its workforce to 100 people with plans to recruit another 30 engineers over the next three months.

John Wilson, Managing Director of ClerkMaxwell, said: “The growth of the business over recent months confirms the impact ClerkMaxwell is making. The acquisition by Costain just over a year ago has helped continue ClerkMaxwell’s drive to being one of the leading front end engineering service providers in the upstream oil and gas market.”

Graham Callander, Business Development Director at ClerkMaxwell, added: “Our ability to bring in detailed design and operational experience into the earlier phases of front-end projects is reaping rewards for the business. We have a team not only highly skilled in front-end activities, but also with extensive project delivery experience across a wide range of engineering disciplines.”

Frank Millar, Costain Hydrocarbons & Chemicals Sector Director, said: “ClerkMaxwell has doubled in size as we continue to focus on growing our presence in the upstream oil & gas market. Our customers benefit from Costain’s full breadth of services across the hydrocarbons value chain and access to over 600 engineers from execution centres in Aberdeen, Manchester and Teesside.”

ClerkMaxwell has its main office at Salvesen Tower in the centre of Aberdeen. The company’s service portfolio includes feasibility and conceptual engineering, front end engineering and design, detailed design and procurement, subsea and pipelines engineering and project management, and facilities and operations support.
