ConocoPhillips to Use Rowan Norway Jack-Up for Ekofisk Drilling

ConocoPhillips will use the Rowan Norway jack-up rig to drill three new production wells on Ekofisk 2/4-B complex in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea.

The PSA Norway has given its consent for the use of the rig which was recently granted an Acknowledgement of Compliance.

ConocoPhillips will drill new production wells on Ekofisk 2/4-B in the form of sidetracks from existing wells. At the same time, the old wells will be permanently abandoned. The drilling programme will last until mid-2014.
