CTV wanted for DanTysk and Sandbank offshore wind farms

Vattenfall has issued a call for competition seeking crew transfer vessel (CTV) services for the DanTysk and Sandbank offshore wind farms in Germany.

The selected party will be in charge of the 2021 spring and summer service campaigns at the two wind farms.

The CTV will be based in the Esbjerg harbor in Denmark. It will be used to travel to the projects’ accommodation platforms, as well as for the transfer of turbine technicians for servicing and troubleshooting work.

The expected commencement date of the contract is 1 March 2021 with a four-month duration and the option to extend three times by one month.

The duration of the qualification system is from 17 December until 7 January 2021.

DanTysk comprises 80 Siemens 3.6 MW turbines installed some 70 km west of the island of Sylt. The 288 MW wind farm has been in operation since 2014.

The 288 MW Sandbank offshore wind farm, located 90 km west of Sylt, features 72 Siemens 4 MW turbines that have been in operation since 2017.
