The company said it is going to act as commercial manager of the 1998-built tanker Ierax effective from May 10, 2019.

Cornerstone Maritime would also handle all chartering and operations of the 15,885 dwt unit.

Following the acquisition Ierax, the ship manager said it has strong expectations about further expansion in 2019 when it comes to tonnage as well as personnel.

The company was founded by Simon Toft, the head of the ship-brokerage Casos Shipping for the past five years.
