Danish Yachts Delivers FOB SWATH 2 Vessel

Danish Yachts Delivers FOB SWATH 2 Vessel

FOB SWATH AS has taken delivery of the newly built FOB SWATH 2 vessel from Danish Yachts shipyard. The vessel is primarily purposed for offshore wind farm staff transport.

FOB SWATH 2 sets new standards, as it overcomes the seasickness and similar discomfort that servicemen experience when sailing with small vessels across the ocean, the Maritime Denmark writes.

Namely, the vessel has a special patented trimming system that, in combination with the Swath principle (Small Waterplace Area Twin Hull), considerably reduces the movements on rough sea. It is equipped to the class notation COMF-V (3) of DNV, which secures that the vessel fulfills specific criteria for noise and vibrations, as well as assures its safety and operationality.

The vessel, which can accommodate up to five people and can stay on the sea for a week, was designed by Hauschildt Marine in cooperation with the owner.

FOB SWATH 1 is chartered by Siemens, while the FOB SWATH 2and its 3 following sister vessels ordered from Danish Yachts, have already been chartered by A2SEA for the next five years.
