Denmark: Baton Switches Hands in A2SEA

Denmark - Baton Switches Hands in A2SEA

On Monday 1st October 2012, Kaj Lindvig, who has played a major role in A2SEA since the company’s founding in 2000, among others as CEO and latest as CSO, handed over the baton to Martin Huss who up till now has held the position as A2SEA’s Regional Manager for Germany and the Benelux Countries.

After 5 years as CSO in A2SEA, Kaj Lindvig has decided to retire. However, he will not stop entirely until the summer of 2013 and until then he will be working on a number of strategic tasks aiming at securing A2SEA’s continued position as the leading supplier of installation services for the offshore wind business.

Martin Huss has been employed in A2SEA since May 2012, but holds an extensive knowledge of the offshore wind business from his time in Vestas (1996-2002) and SSE (Scottish and Southern Energy) (2007-2010). Also, Martin Huss has previously been employed in A2SEA during the years 2002–2007, when he was heading Sales and Marketing.

”We have known for a while that Kaj Lindvig had plans of retiring from A2SEA during the summer of 2013 and we have therefore had good time to find a replacement for Kaj in the CSO position” says Jens Frederik Hansen, CEO of A2SEA and continues, ”We have looked for a successor who possessed both the sales and market related experience which this position requires, but also a person with the right knowledge of the wind business in specific. After a thorough search we decided that Martin Huss, who has previously held the Sales responsibility in our company, is the right man for the job. We are therefore happy that Martin can take over the management responsibility of Sales from 1st October which leaves good time for handing over from Kaj who will stay in the company until the summer of 2013. We look forward to the cooperation with both Martin and Kaj in their new functions.”

Intensified Focus on Customer Relations

Simultaneously with the CSO change, the Sales and Marketing department changes name to ”Clients & Markets”. The new name symbolises A2SEA’s increased focus on selected customer segments and key accounts in addition to a sales focus on A2SEA’s individual business units installation and service/logistic as well as cable laying who is handled through A2SEA’s subsidiary, CT Offshore. Having focus on our local representations in London and Hamburg helps accommodate future needs and positive markets.
