Denmark: Blue Water Assists Noreco with Luna

In connection with Noreco’s drilling scope at the Luna-1 site (license 1/11)  in the Danish North Sea sector, Blue Water Shipping has been awarded the offshore base contract in Esbjerg.

“We are very proud to have been awarded this contract. Currently, we are performing all base activities, handling all equipment to and from the jack-up drilling rig Maersk Resolve, coordinating crew change with helicopter flights from Esbjerg Airport and acting as port agents for the supply vessel M/V “Edda Freya”, says Agency Manager Klaus Odby Jensen.

Noreco, an independent Norwegian oil and gas company with focus on exploration, development and production in Northwest Europe, last month announced that Luna-1 well had been spudded on February 12, 2012. The partners in the license 1/11 are Noreco (operator, 47 percent), Elko Energy (33 percent) and the Danish North Sea Fund (20 percent).
