Denmark: Ramboll Oil & Gas’ Top Business Talent

The leading Danish news magazine Berlingske Business Magasin has singled out Ramboll Oil & Gas team leader Lau Jensen as one of 100 new business talents in Denmark. After two years with Ramboll, 33-year old surveyor Lau Jensen has been selected as an upcoming profile in the category “Leadership” published in today’s “Talent100” special edition by Berlingske Business Magasin.

Berlingske Business has selected the talents based on nominations from Danish companies. Professional qualifications, leadership abilities, actual results and an age limit of 35 years have been decisive criteria.

According to Ramboll Oil & Gas MD John Sørensen, who has nominated Lau Jensen for the prize, it is no coincidence that Lau Jensen was singled out. “Lau is a strategist to his fingertips. His goal-oriented initiatives and persevering efforts to build and leverage the market possibilities for 3D scanning and survey in Denmark are impressive.”

With a great understanding of the business and an unlimited passion for his profession and company, Lau Jensen has succeeded in raising 3D scanning and survey from being a niche in oil- and gasindustry to a service which is marketed in a broad variety of industries.

“Being nominated for this prize gives me great satisfaction. I’m incredibly proud of the team that I have built up. I could not have achieved such impressive results without my team and their huge efforts,” says Lau Jensen.

One of his next tasks will be to go to Qatar to anchor 3D scanning and survey as a full service at Ramboll’s office in Doha. His plans also cater for introducing the service in Ramboll’s offices in England and Norway. On a daily basis Lau is heading a modelling team of 14 persons in Ramboll India, while working from the Esbjerg office in Denmark, he is responsible for 12 employees.

“The technical challenges within oil and gas attract and retain a lot of employees. We offer exciting projects where employees are constantly challenged. Last year Ramboll was voted most attractive employer in the engineering category amongst more than 34,000 students at top academic institutions in Scandinavia. Results like these mean the world to us,” says HR Manager Lisbeth Nitschke.

According to her, the industry holds many great professional challenges, which gives Ramboll employees the opportunity to be a part of world class projects like Nord Stream and Al Shaheen.
