Drydocks World, Consul General of Singapore Talk Mutual Cooperation

Drydocks World, the leading maritime service provider in the Middle East, received H.E. Cheong Ming Foong, the Consul General of Singapore along with Khalil A. Bakar, Centre Director Middle East of Singapore Economic Development Board. Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman and Dr. Markus Voege, VP – Operation and Production of Drydocks World and Maritime World, welcomed H.E. Cheong Ming Foong and Mr. Bakar to the Maritime Business Centre at Dubai Maritime City.

Extensive discussions were held on economic developments, renewal of agreements of understanding in the marine and maritime specialties, Research and Development related to foreign labour, discussion on the DMC and the Singapore marine and maritime sector and real-estate investments and the extent of their success.

 “We have had a very special relationship with Singapore and are committed to the development of the maritime industry there. This visit will further strengthen our resolve. DDW-PaxOcean has worked on significant projects that would define next generation maritime and oil and gas activity. We are contemplating on future co-operation in areas such as implementation of new initiatives by renewing existing agreements, sharing know-how on a regular basis about maritime clusters and mixed-use developments, increasing investments and employing highly skilled workforce and other pertinent issues that would facilitate economic and trade in Singapore,” said HE Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World.
