DSME scores VLGC order

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) of South Korea said it has secured a new order for two very large gas carriers (VLGCs).

DSME, one of the world’s largest shipbuilders, will construct two 84,000 cbm VLGCs for an Asian client, it said in a statement.

The order is worth about $160 million and the VLGCs will be delivered in 2017.
