Dutch Vroon Offshore Adds Another AHTS to its Fleet

The Netherlands based shipping company, Vroon Offshore Services (VOS), yesterday added another AHTS vessel to its fleet.

The VOS Thalassa, a 1,400 dwt anchor handling tug support (AHTS) vessel built at the Fujian SouthEast Shipyard in China, was delivered yesterday, 2 May 2012, from the Shipyard.

VOS Thalassa will leave the Shipyard on Monday 7 May. The vessel will operate out of Singapore and will be managed by Vroon Offshore Services Pte Ltd.

“We wish the vessel and her crew safe voyages,” read the company’s statement.

The 59.25 m long VOS Thalassa is a sister vessel to VOS Thalia (image) which was delivered to Vroon Offshore Services on April 5.
