Dynagas LNG Partners secures new charter deals

Monaco-based Dynagas LNG Partners, the owner and operator of LNG carriers on Thursday informed it has signed an extension and two new charter deals.

According to the statement, Dynagas LNG Partners, a unit of Greek Dynagas Holding, extended the charter deal to Gazprom for the 2007-built Ob River until May 1, 2018.

Additionally, following the redelivery of the vessel from Gazprom, it will be chartered on a 10-year deal to Gazprom’s unit, Gazprom Marketing & Trading.

In a separate deal, Dynagas LNG Partners chartered the 2013-built LNG carrier Lena River for the Yamal LNG project for a period of 15 years.

The vessel is currently chartered to Gazprom through late 2018 and is expected to join the Yamal LNG project to support LNG deliveries from the Yamal terminal from 2019.

Tony Lauritzen, Chief Executive Officer of Dynagas LNG Partners said the company now has a minimum contracted revenue backlog of $1.2 billion and a fleet-wide minimum average remaining charter duration of 7.9 years.

He added that the partnership targets further expansion with new vessel acquisitions and additional charter deals.
