E.R. Schiffahrt in Talks to Sell Three Bulkers

Hamburg-based ship management company E.R. Schiffahrt has initiated talks to sell three Capesize bulk carriers to Greek shipping company Seanergy Maritime Corp, according to data provided by VesselsValue.

The company is reportedly looking to dispose of three 179,400 dwt bulkers, namely, ER Bayern, ER Bavaria and ER Boston.

All three ships were built in 2010 at South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries and Hyundai Samho Heavy, respectively.

VesselsValue added that the parties are discussing a price of USD 20.7 million per bulker.

Valued at USD 20.8 million, the ships, which feature a length of 292 meters and a width of 45 meters, are a part of E.R. Schiffahrt’s fleet of 20 bulk carriers which have a total carrying capacity of 2.2 million dwt.

The company has more than 70 containerships in service, with a total capacity of around 450,000 TEU.
