EgyptAir Missing Flight Found in Mediterranean Sea

Debris from the EgyptAir Flight MS804 has been found in the Mediterranean Sea, the airline informed on Friday.

The plane, with 66 people onboard, was en route from Paris to Cairo when it vanished after entering Cairo airspace on Thursday.

According to EgyptAir’s latest update, the Egyptian Armed Forces have found debris belonging to the plane around 295 kilometers from the Egyptian coastline.

The media have reported that the most likely cause of the crash is terrorism, rather than technical fault. The Egyptian military is continuing the search in the area where the debris was found.

“EgyptAir sincerely conveys its deepest sorrow to the families and friends of the passengers onboard Flight MS804. We extend our deepest sympathies to those affected and have engaged international emergency support group Kenyon to assist with care for those touched by this tragedy,” the company said in a press statement.
