Belgian and German transmission system operators, Elia and 50Hertz, have launched a pre-qualification procedure for a tender seeking geotechnical seabed survey services.

The surveys will be done in the Belgian part of the North Sea and the German sector of the Baltic Sea.

The tender is divided into three lots that cover geotechnical surveys and soil samplings for submarine power cables, offshore platforms in water depths under 20 meters, and offshore platforms in water depths over 20 meters.
