EMGS names new CEO

The new Board of Directors of Norway’s Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) has appointed Bjarte H. Bruheim as Chief Executive Officer of the company effective from 7 January 2015.

Bjarte Bruheim has been the Executive Chairman of EMGS since July 2004, and he has extensive experience from the oil service sector over the past 30 years.

Consequently, EMGS and Roar Bekker have agreed that Roar Bekker resigns from the company. He has held the position as CEO of EMGS since May 26, 2009, and has been employed with EMGS since 2007.

“We are pleased that Bjarte Bruheim has accepted employment as CEO in EMGS. Bjarte brings with him a unique experience and knowledge about the industry, and he understands the challenges and opportunities for EMGS going forward,” says Chairman of the Board, Eystein Eriksrud.

The combination of different geophysical methods, including EMGS products, will be more important with a low oil price.
