Enagas: Conventional Gas Demand in Spain Hits Record High

Enagás said today that conventional demand for natural gas (domestic, commercial and industrial consumption) in Spain set a new all-time record yesterday of 1,208 GWh mainly because of the low temperatures.

This was 2.4% higher than the previous record of 1,179 GWh set on 24 January this year.

Demand forecasts indicate a new record will be set today, Enagás said.

Yesterday’s peak in demand was exceeded comfortably, meeting the entire demand of the System and all export obligation.
