Enagas: Spain Gas Demand Sets New Record

Spain’s Enagás said that demand for natural gas yesterday, 28 November, set a 2013 record of 1,427 GWh, as the low temperatures of the past few days drove up domestic and commercial consumption.

Cumulative demand since the cold front hit Spain on 18 November has soared to 1,950 GWh.

By region, annual highs were set in Andalusia, Aragón, Castilla-La Mancha, Navarra and Valencia.

This peak demand was met by the gas system without any difficulty, according to Enagás.
