EnBW Invites Tendes for Albatros Inner-Park Subsea Cabling Project

Business & Finance

EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG has launched a tendering procedure for inner-park subsea cabling project for its Albatros offshore wind farm (OWP).

The 400-MW project Albatros was acquired by EnBW from Strabag. Albatros has approval for 79 wind turbines in the 5 to 7 MW power range and is located 105 km off the German North Sea coast. The wind farm occupies an area of 39 square kilometres in water depths of approximately 40 meters.

For this project, contractors are required to provide turnkey planning (including project certification), procurement, manufacturing, delivery and installation of approximately 32 km of inner-park subsea cabling for an OWP with up to 19 wind turbines on monopiles.

The contract, dependent on the legal framework, permits and grid connection, is for 2016, while the offshore installation and commissioning must be carried out in the second quarter of 2019.

The tendering procedure will close on June 30, 2016.
