Endeavour Conducts Subsea Foundations Installation Off Garden Island, Western Australia

Carnegie advised in December that the foundation installation vessel, the Endeavour (previously named the Eunsung 1200), was mobilised with all foundations and installation equipment sea fastened on the vessel. The foundation installation vessel was then moved offshore to the Project site where installation activities commenced.

Activities prior to Christmas confirmed the geotechnical conditions at the site and the suitability of the pile design and installation approach. Work was also carried out on improving accessibility to the installation vessel via preparing the vessel for helicopter transfer of the work crew. This approach is now being utilised.

After a Christmas to New Year break, drilling and grouting of the first pile foundation began at the start of the New Year. The first two pile foundations are now installed. Installation activities for the third and final pile are now underway and completion of all foundation works is expected in the coming weeks.
