ENERMAR sets up renewable energy event in Bilbao

ENERMAR, the working group composed of naval and ocean engineers, is organizing a 7th technical conference dedicated to the sea and renewable energy.

The technical conference aims to present opportunities for opening new markets for local industry, as well as those arising from the implementation programs of ocean renewable energy in Spain and worldwide.

The event is expected to provide practical answers by utilities, manufacturers, technology centers, shipping companies, as well as classification societies on the issues present in the sector.

The two-day conference will feature sessions on the role of testing centers, marine energy harvesting technologies, as well as the roundtable session dedicated to the future of marine energy in Europe.

This year’s conference has organized technical visits at the end of each morning sessions.

The first day will feature a visit to the wave energy plant in Mutriku operated by Ente Vasco de la Energía (EVE), the Basque energy agency. For the end of the conference, a visit to the Vicinay Marine facility in Sestao.

The event will take place from June 30 to July 1, 2016 in Bilbao.
