Engie makes new appointments

French utility and LNG player Engie, named Paul Maguire as chief executive officer of the company’s Asia Pacific division with effect from June 1. 

Maguire is succeeding Jan Flachet, who is retiring, Engie said in a statement on Monday.

He joined Engie’s international power unit in 2006 as financial director of its Australian entity and became CEO of Simply Energy, Engie’s retail arm in Australia in 2010. He served as president and CEO of Senoko Energy, Singapore’s power generation company owned by a consortium including Engie.

In addition to Maguire’s appointment, Engie named Nadine Jaudet as director of Engie global business support, the group’s shared services center, from September 1, succeeding Michel Le Boëdec.

She started her career in an auditing and accounting office that she managed later. In 2003, she entered the Finance department of Gaz de France’s headquarters to work on the implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

She then she joined GRTgaz as Deputy CFO, and in 2011, became CFO of the Engie France BtoC business unit. In 2014 she was appointed deputy CEO of Engie home services.
