EPA Requesting More Time to Review Cove Point Liquefaction Project

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released a letter sent to FERC in which it is formally requesting a 30-day time extension in order to conduct a complete and comprehensive review of the Environmental Assessment for the Cove Point Liquefaction project.

EPA requests that this additional time be granted due to the nature and complexity of the liquefaction project.

The additional time will allow the agency to compile comments from its regional associate internal reviewers and the required need for EPA headquarters’ review.
