EPC Offshore New Managers for Important North Sea Projects

EPC Offshore has announced the appointment of new managers to work on two of the North Sea’s biggest developments as the company continues to increase growth in 2012.

Project manager Euan Sellar will focus on the final phases of the Rochelle field development for Endeavour Energy in the Central North Sea. EPC have provided project management services for the pre-sanction and execution phases of this large subsea project which is entering the construction phase this year.

With more than 18 years technical experience in the oil and gas industry, Euan has worked within the engineering, operations and project management disciplines for a number of operators including Marathon, Total and Shell on projects across Houston, Norway and Ireland.

Hurricane’s Lancaster

Rob Harris meanwhile joins EPC as study team leader on the Lancaster development for Hurricane, one of the most significant oil discoveries in the West of Shetlands in recent years.

Rob joins with 30 years of process and facilities experience working on several development plans for Shell, ConocoPhillips, Chevron and BG Group in the North Sea from concept selection through to production. He will lead the team as they work towards bringing the development to concept selection before the end of 2012.

Euan is based within EPC’s office in Albyn Terrace, Aberdeen while Harris will work alongside the Lancaster development team at the Hurricane offices in Surrey. This is EPC’s first venture in the south-east of England and will see the team work closely with engineering colleagues in Aberdeen and Hurricane’s subsurface and drilling engineers.

Keith Wallace, Chief Executive of EPC Offshore, said: “We are continually investing in our business, both in terms of attracting and recruiting the best people and the systems and technology which maximise the services we offer our clients.

“These appointments, together with new software which we have introduced to enhance the front end teams’ capability to perform process simulation work and cost estimating, demonstrate a real commitment to our North Sea clients and their operations.

“Euan and Rob are extremely valuable additions to our team as we look towards the next stage of our ongoing growth strategy.”
