Epic Gas Expands LPG Fleet

Owner and operator of gas carriers Epic Gas has taken delivery of the 5,000 cbm Epic St. Agnes from Kitanihon Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. of Japan.

The company said that the LPG tanker will deliver straight into a time charter for trading in Asia.

Name of the charterer has not been disclosed.

Epic St. Agnes is sailing under Singapore flag and has been classed by ClassNK.

The vessels sister ship, the 5,000cbm Epic St. Ivan, is expected to join the company’s fleet shortly as well. Kitanihon Shipbuilding is set to hand over the tanker by the end of this quarter, Epic Gas said.

Epic Gas is the only owner and operator of pressurised gas carriers across the size spectrum of 3,500cbm to 11,000cbm vessels.

The company controls a fleet of 47 vessels which serve the international supply chains of oil majors and commodity trading houses throughout Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas.
