Danish shipping company, Evergas, named the fifth LNG-fueled “Dragon” class carrier at the Pilot station, Philadelphia, in the United States.

The 27,500-cbm vessel capable of transporting ethane, a wide range of petrochemical gases, LPG and LNG, was named JS Ineos Innovation, Evergas informed in its statement.

The vessel will transport ethane from the United States Mariner East project to Europe under a 15-year shipping deal Evergas signed with Ineos in 2013.

It is the fifth carrier in a series of eight to be delivered to Evergas. The vessels, 80 meters long and 26.6 meters wide, will mainly use liquefied natural gas as fuel.
