Evergreen Line Christens Seventh L-Type Containership in South Korea

A christening ceremony of Ever Lawful, the seventh L-type containership in the Evergreen Line’s fleet took place today at Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) shipyard in South Korea.

The L-type ship is 334 meters in length, 45.8 meters wide, with 942 reefer plugs and a draft of 14.2 meters. The vessel can cruise at a speed up to 24.5 knots. Ever Lawful will be delivered to Evergreen on November 20.

This type of a containership meets the standards of international regulations for environmental protection. Namely, the design of the vessel enables cutting of CO2 emission by 15% when compared to the carrier’s earlier award-winning S-class “green ships.”
