Exmar vessels transport less LNG in 2014

Exmar of Belgium shipped 5.02 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas onboard its vessels in 2014.

This represents a 4.28 percent drop as compared to 5.25 million tonnes of LNG a year before, according to Exmar’s 2014 annual report.

The company’s LNG business posted a turnover of US$84 million and EBITDA of US $42 million.

According to the report, Exmar’s LNG vessels remain committed to long-term charters, and are not directly impacted by rate fluctuations on the worldwide market.

Exmar manages a fleet of fourteen LNG carriers. Certain LNG carriers can also be deployed as LNG shuttle and regasification vessels or as floating storage and regasification units (FSRU).
