Expro to talk about reduction of reservoir uncertainty at SPE’s event in Aberdeen

Expro, the well flow management company, will discuss its wireless well solutions used to reduce reservoir uncertainty at the next technical meeting of Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Aberdeen Section.

Taking place on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, Brian Champion, global sales director of Expro Wireless Well Solutions, will highlight the ways in which reservoir uncertainty can be reduced, production can be optimised and well safety enhanced.

According to Expro, Champion will also discuss the new solutions available using advanced wireless in-well communications.

Commenting on his presentation, Brian Champion, said: “I will examine the uncertainties regarding reservoir connectivity and compartmentalisation, one of the biggest risks operators have to contend with across the globe. Wireless monitoring technology is now being broadly applied across the industry to reduce this uncertainty, without compromising production or well safety.

“Having been heavily involved in the development and leadership of Expro’s wireless technology offering since it was introduced to the business in 2004, I look forward to sharing my experience at this SPE Aberdeen event.”

Shankar Bhukya, SPE Aberdeen chairman, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mr Champion to our next technical meeting. The current situation in the North Sea has highlighted the importance of developing new and innovative technologies to address future flow management needs and this presentation from Expro will highlight the latest wireless well solution technologies available in the field of well management.”
