Farstad Scores Three Charter Deals in Brazil

Norway’s Farstad Shipping ASA has secured contracts for three of its offshore support vessels from three different companies. All the vessels will operate in Brazil.

The AHTS Far Senator will support Shell’s drilling campaign in Brazil. AHTS Far Senator will leave the North Sea during October 2013. The vessel will stay with Shell for six months and, after that, the oil company will have an option to extend the charter for another two months.

Furthermore, Total E&P do Brasil has awarded the PSV Far Swift a 6 month contract to support their drilling operations in South America’s biggest economy. The new contract for the vessel, which is already in Brazil, is slated to start in November 2013.

Also, Brazil’s national oil company Petrobras decided to extend the contract for the AHTS Far Sailor for another 5 months, beginning October 2013.

Total value of the contracts, excluding options, is around $25.4 million (NOK 150 million.)
