Fearnleys: Last Week Saw Two Large Orders for Ultramax BCs

Fearnleys Weekly newbuilding report said that two large orders for Ultramax bulk carriers were reported last week at Chinese private owned yards, with the newly established Ample Ocean contracting totally 36 vessels at JES and New York based Doonbeg Group ordering totally 8 units at Yangfan.

Last Week Saw Two Large Orders for Ultramax BC

Both yards have been in position to offer as early slots as end 2015 for the first vessels.

Norway’s Ocean Yield has entered into the gas sector by ordering 3 Ethylene carriers at Sinopacific. Delivery of the vessels is set for the 2nd half 2016. All 3 vessels will be chartered to Hartmann on a bareboat basis for 15 years.
