FERC issues notice of schedule for Driftwood LNG

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued a notice of schedule for the environmental review of Tellurian’s proposed Driftwood LNG export plant and pipeline.
The Houston-based LNG export project developer, Tellurian said in a statement that FERC will issue the final environmental impact statement (EIS) on October 12, 2018, for the proposed 27.6 million tons per year liquefaction project a the 96-mile, 4 billion cubic feet per day pipeline.
Tellurian expects to begin construction of the Driftwood LNG plant in early 2019, assuming FERC issues a favorable EIS and the company reaches a final investment decision.
Under the estimated Driftwood LNG project timeline, the company expects to reach commercial agreements in the first half of 2018 together with receiving the draft environmental impact statement.
FERC has also established a 90-day federal authorization decision deadline on January 10, 2019.
Tellurian expects the project to begin operations in 2023.
