Finland’s Gasum buys Enegia’s energy services

Finnish natural gas and LNG company, Gasum said it has acquired the energy market services business of Nordic company Enegia.

Under the deal, Enegia Consulting, Enegia Portfolio Services and IntStream will become part of Gasum.

The transaction was closed by Gasum and Enegia Group on August 31, according to a Gasum a statement.

The acquisition will strengthen Gasum’s Nordic strategy by enabling service expansion in the energy wholesale market and creating a platform for expanded product offering to its customers, the statement reads.

Gasum said in the statement that following the acquisition it intends to expand service provision to the natural gas market and throughout the company’s operating area in the Nordic countries.
